About Me
Alenika Andreev MA, LMFT
I am a bi-lingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board registered and certified in California.
As a psychodynamic oriented therapist with a strong appreciation for depth work. My approach is influenced by attachment theory, relational theory, and psychoanalysis. My practice combines depth-focused therapy with creative exploration, helping clients uncover patterns, process emotional complexity, and find clarity and balance in their lives.
I believe our present difficulties often carry echoes from the past — not to dwell in it, but to illuminate patterns, unspoken grief, and resilient parts of the self that may have gone quiet. I work relationally and reflectively.
I place great value on the therapeutic relationship. It’s not just the backdrop for healing — it’s the heart of the work. I pay attention to what arises in the room, using both your experience and my own responses as a tool for insight. I bring myself into the space with intention and care, often reflecting back what I’m noticing or feeling in the moment to help you gain clarity, process emotions, and build new ways of relating and thinking.
Therapy with me often includes untangling inner narratives, unpacking the emotional weight of family and culture, and discovering the order within what feels like emotional chaos. I believe in the healing power of language, creativity, and emotional honesty.
My work is also informed by my background as a bilingual therapist and my understanding of how identity, family systems, and cultural transitions impact one’s sense of self. I integrate evidence-based tools when appropriate, but always in a way that supports, not overrides your inner process. Whether you’re moving through grief, anxiety, burnout, or simply seeking a deeper connection with yourself, I offer a space where you can reflect, make meaning, and grow.

EDUCATION
I received my Graduate Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with the emphasis of Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
I received my Undergraduate Bachelors Degree in Arts and General Studies in Louisiana State University of Alexandria in Louisiana.

Awareness is one of the essential parts of our mind and growth. By increasing and improving our own awareness, we begin to see ourselves more clearly, more confident, and more creative, as well as our social relations with others. It is important to become consciously aware and mindful when reacting to something, making decisions, allowing room for mistakes, practicing self forgiveness, while staying connected and attuned with yourself and others. The better you become aware, the better self control you have. Self awareness is a magical tool that allows an individual to stay curious, genuinely learn about others, and the world around.
